Menopause Does Not Ruin Marriages - It Gives Clarity That Women Are Still Raising Manbabies

NORTHERN BEACHES, PRNB — The People’s Republic of the Northern Beaches has descended into absolute domestic warfare after explosive new research revealed the real reason so many marriages implode once the kids leave home. And unfortunately for middle-aged men everywhere, scientists are now suggesting menopause may not be “making women crazy” at all.

It may simply be making them observant.

For decades, divorces after 20–30 year marriages were blamed on women “changing,” “becoming hormonal,” or “losing patience.” Researchers now believe what’s actually happening is far more confronting:

Women spend 25 years raising children, running households, managing everyone’s appointments, remembering birthdays, buying every Christmas present, locating every missing school shoe, organising every family holiday, acting as unpaid therapists, cleaners, cooks and project managers…. then one day the kids move out, the house goes quiet, and they finally turn around and properly look at the man sitting on the couch scratching himself while asking what’s for dinner despite being 57 years old and fully employed.

And suddenly the question hits them like a freight train: “Why the f**k am I still parenting this bloke?”

Local husbands across Manly, Newport and Seaforth are reportedly in panic mode after discovering that “going to work” may not actually count as a complete personality.

Witnesses say terrified men have begun emergency rebranding campaigns including:

• Loading ONE dishwasher and standing there waiting to be thanked

• Saying “just tell me what to do” moments before needing step-by-step instructions like a Labrador in boardshorts

• Cooking BBQ sausages twice a year and referring to themselves as “the chef of the family”

• Telling mates they were “blindsided” despite their wife communicating unhappiness continuously since the Abbott Government

One local woman said her moment of clarity came when her husband yelled from another room asking where the tomato sauce was while standing directly in front of the fridge. “I realised this man would perish in under 72 hours without female supervision,” she said. “He still says he’s ‘babysitting’ his own grandchildren.”

Meanwhile thousands of Northern Beaches men remain convinced their marriages only collapsed because women “went through menopause,” and not because they spent three decades behaving like an extra child with a mortgage.

Experts say many women eventually hit a psychological threshold where they no longer find “weaponised incompetence” charming. “It’s hard to remain sexually attracted to someone who cannot locate a bath towel in the house they’ve lived in since 2009,” one researcher explained.

At press time, divorced men across the peninsula were reportedly updating dating profiles to include:

“Easy going”

“Love a laugh”

“Not into drama”

and “Looking for a woman who doesn’t take life too seriously,”

Which experts confirmed loosely translates to:

“Seeking replacement mother willing to organise my medications, social calendar and emotional stability until death.”
